Our approach to the project was to create spaces in the middle by leaning the buildings against the perimeter of the parcel as much as possible. Since there is a building height limit due to the Ataturk airport being located near the area, we tried to spread the buildings horizontally. By adding an extra block through the middle of the plot, we divided the parcel into two courtyards. Our starting point here was not only to design buildings, but also to design open spaces that are disconnected from the noise of the environment and offer a more peaceful environment inside.
Due to the length of the parcel, instead of one long, narrow courtyard, two different courtyards, more proportional to each other, were created. While the courtyards were surrounded by buildings on all four sides, air circulation was provided to the lower buildings on one side. By creating occasional retreats on the facade and making them more emphatic with the materials covered, it was aimed to turn the buildings that are compatible with each other into an urban texture.
There are staggered commercial areas on the ground floor of the buildings. There are social areas where the residents of the site can spend time in the area created by creating two courtyards behind the front block and a space on the ground floor of the building that cuts this courtyard. The project, which has housing types between 1+1 and 5+1, includes villa-type residences with detached gardens as well as flats with large terraces. In this way, a housing project that can be described as an example has emerged, with similar square meters of interior and exterior spaces, creating volumes that allow access to the open space and offering spacious spaces to the people who will live here.
Projeye yaklaşımımız, yapıları parselin çeperlerine olabildiğince yaslayarak ortada boşluklar yaratmak oldu. Bölgenin yakınında Atatürk havalimanı olması sebebiyle bir bina yükseklik sınırı da bulunduğundan, binaları yatayda yaymaya çalıştık. Arsanın ortasından geçen ekstra bir blok da ekleyerek parseli iki avluya bölmüş olduk. Buradaki çıkış noktamız, yalnızca binaları tasarlamaktan öte, çevrenin gürültüsünden kopuk, içeride daha huzurlu bir ortam sunan açık alanlar tasarlamak oldu.

Binaların zemin katında kademelenmiş ticari alanlar yer alıyor. Öndeki bloğun arkasında bulunan iki avlu, ve bu avluyu kesen binanın zemin katında bir boşluk yaratarak oluşturulan alanda site sakinlerinin vakit geçirebileceği sosyal alanlar bulunuyor. 1+1 ve 5+1 arasında konut tipleri bulunan projede, müstakil bahçeli villa tipi konutların yanı sıra, geniş teraslı daireler yer alıyor. Bu sayede, iç ve dış mekanda benzer metrekareleri bulunan, açık alana çıkmayı sağlayan hacimler yaratarak burada yaşayacak olan insanlara ferah alanlar sunan, emsal olarak nitelendirilebilecek bir konut projesi ortaya çıkmış oldu.
